a world where dust storms rule the earth and the windmakers are the only things that can fight it.

The browser build crashed my browser, but I was able to watch the youtube videos and get an idea. (Thanks, youtubers!) The atmosphere is haunting. I like the kind of reddish sky.... it helps sell the back story. One suggestion would be some more pathfinding help, like some subtle lighting or paths or small objects in the fog to help the player orient a little. Keep going!
